instaling Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

Sure enough after fast travelling and going inside, most of the textures were unloaded, and almost everything was black. which seemed strange since I hadn't been west of megaton. I then saw a map marker called armory (west of megaton). Also some random ghouls and placenames come up in German (Everything else was in English though so I carried on). I finally managed to kill them using god mode, which still took nearly 10 minutes because their health was so high.Īnyway I finally get into megaton, my hometown (it would be eventually), and I realised some of my speech options are in German, specifically the option to say goodbye to every player is in German. They could 2 hit kill me with their ranged attack, and my weapon barely touched them.

I made my way to megaton, where I was met by 2 'frenzied ghouls' with crazy health that I was unable to target in VATS. I managed to get out using console commands though and carried on. My first issue was that I was unable to leave the vault, after going under the overseers office and pressing the button, the door into the entrance area didn't open, so I was stuck.

After hearing about the update I downloaded the game as quick as I could and after doing the ini fix I finally managed to get the game running. I have never managed to play fallout 3 on this PC before due to the whole GFWL fiasco.
